SandOut Shoes – the children’s shoe made with parents’ sanity in mind

It’s one of life’s little mysteries – how toddlers and preschoolers only ever seem to empty out their sand-filled shoes inside the house or car. If you’re always finding little piles of sand about the house or in the back seat of the family ride, you’re going to love this.

SandOut Shoes are a range of kids shoes that cleverly drain out sand and water as kids run and play. So sand and water goes in, as it’s wont to do when kids dig in sandpits or splash about in fountains and puddles, but then drains right out the sides of the shoe via small holes in the insole. How absolutely clever is that.

Imagine a world where you don’t have to yell at the kids, “But why didn’t you empty the sand out before you got in the car?!”. A world where you don’t have to drag out the vacuum cleaner every time they come home from kinder or the park. Sounds nice, doesn’t it.

SandOut Shoes are perfectly suited for the Australian climate and our outdoors lifestyle and, as well as removing sand and water, these shoes allow natural ventilation to prevent odour build up and blisters.

Of course, the only thing worse than sand in kids’ shoes is when it gets in your own. Instead of doing the duckwalk over the playground to avoid it, you are in luck. Some of the larger children’s sizes actually overlap with adult women’s sizes and there is a range of adult thongs made with the same technology as well.

SandOut Shoes are currently running a Kickstarter campaign to get these shoes on the market. Watch their hilarious video below to see why you need to invest in a pair (or three) today.

You can get a pair of these brilliant sand-free kicks for your kids for the earlybird price of $20 if you’re quick. Otherwise, expect to pay $30 plus post.
